Extruded aluminum square bars are stronger than aluminum as a singular metal. They are often the product of aluminum alloys, created prior to the extrusion process. Here are a few uses for extruded aluminum square bars in construction.
Reinforce Walls
Vertical concrete walls are reinforced with some type of iron product or aluminum bars. When you use square aluminum bars, you can use the hollow ones and fill them with the concrete as you use the bars to reinforce the concrete poured around the bars. The result is a doubly reinforced wall that would be very difficult to break down or crack without the impact of a wrecking ball.
Use Them to Assemble a Fireproof Frame for a House
Fireproof “metal” houses are constructed using metal bar framing. These square bars fit together and weld together really well, creating a frame for your house that isn’t going to burn down in a fire. Having that frame as the basis for home construction means that if you ever do lose your home to fire, you can easily rebuild the house because the “bones” of the house are still there. The metal bars acting as a frame remain standing and make it easier to build around that frame all over again.
Decorative Uses
These bars can also be welded together to make decorative home touches. Only your own imagination limits their decorative properties. If you are ready to use aluminum square bars in your home construction, consider talking to a home contractor.
